JSP, Civil Liberation Party Nepal, and Rastriya Mukti Party have applied to participate in the elections under a single election symbol.

After submitting the application for a single election symbol to the commission, JSP Chairman Ashok Rai said that there is no possibility of his party uniting with the Nepali Communist Party. 'There will be no unity in the Nepali Communist Party, it has been decided. We are contesting the elections together under a single election symbol as three parties. There is no possibility of us merging with any communist party after the elections. The Janata Samajwadi Party will remain a party that is moving towards socialism and has assimilated federalism,' Rai said. 'We had a discussion with Pushpakamal Dahal (NCP coordinator) that if unification is not possible, let's form an electoral front. I had said that continuous unification is not possible, let's go with an electoral front, but after it was decided not to form an electoral front, the three parties formed an electoral front together.'
Resham Lal Chaudhary, the patron of the Civil Liberation Party of Nepal, said that breaking and splitting is the culture of politics. He said that the biggest thing is that there will be an issue and that one should be able to stick to one's issue. 'The political culture is one of fragmentation. The biggest thing is the issue. If an issue is seen to be floating, we try to catch it. If there is no country, what is the authority? What is the Tharu country?' he said.
National Liberation Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato had said that if the three parties can be unified on the basis of values and beliefs, the division will be reduced. He said that the three parties have approached the Election Commission with the aim of participating in the elections with a single election symbol. 'Mainly, if they are unified on the basis of values and beliefs, that division will be reduced. We have decided to go with a single election symbol for the three parties now. We have decided to cooperate to achieve this specific objective and specific goal. We will unite on the issues of recognition of rights, good governance, civilization, and culture in the country,' he said.
