UML Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel has announced that he will be a presidential candidate in the upcoming general convention.

He has announced his candidacy for the presidency at the 11th general convention to be held in Kathmandu. He says that he has claimed the presidency for the party's reorganization and transformation.

KP Sharma Oli has also announced his candidacy for the presidency.
