The Janmat Party has demanded the declaration of full autonomy for the province. Leaders of the Janmat Party led by CK Raut met Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Monday and submitted a 12-point memorandum, putting forward various demands.

The Raut-led Janmat has submitted a memorandum with 12 demands, including declaring the provinces fully autonomous and granting them political, administrative and economic autonomy, and that local bodies be subordinate to the provinces, in accordance with the 8-point agreement signed by the government with the United Democratic Madhesi Front on Falgun 16, 2064.

The remaining tasks as per the 22-point, 8-point and 11-point agreements signed by the Nepal government during the Madhesh, Tharuhat and Swaraj movements should be implemented, those who were prosecuted during the political movement should be released from detention and jail, the cases should be withdrawn and the report of the Lal Commission should be made public.

Similarly, the Janmat demands that the group recruitment of Madhesi youth should be started immediately to make the participation of Madhesis in security agencies, including the Nepal Army, proportional and inclusive.
