”There is no place for someone who has fallen from the leftist fold to be called a leftist. We examine their pulse, chest, and brain and say they are leftist, then we admit them.”
UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that leaders Ram Kumari Jhankri and Kisan Shrestha, who came from the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, have been made representatives to the general convention by making a special decision.
Addressing the National Volunteers Force announcement program, Oli also urged no one to be upset over the appointment of those who came from the CPN-S as general convention representatives.
‘We have made a special decision to make the leaders who returned from the CPN-S as general convention representatives. There will be an attempt to incite sentiments that the S cadres went to the general convention. It is not easy to strengthen the party,’ he said, ‘It is seen that they will shout about left unity until their throats are dry. We do not shout like that. We wake up when we are in danger. We check their pulse, chest, and brain and say they are leftists, and then we bring them in.’
Oli also said that there is no place for those who have fallen from the left in the name of leftism. ‘Those who do not work will end up in the end, they will come to the UML to work. I have called for it,’ he said.
