Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the party has submitted an application for registration to the Election Commission along with a 27-member central committee.
The party has been named 'Citizen Protection Party, Nepal' and Madhav Prasad Khatiwada, 50, a resident of Jhapa, has been proposed as the president. Ishwori Prasad Bhattarai (Kathmandu) and Devi Prasad Sangraula are the vice-presidents. Prasai himself has not held any position.
