Durga Sob, coordinator of Bhattarai's NESP (New Shakti), Sudan Kiranti from Sharma's Progressive National Campaign and Pariyar have reached a five-point agreement on Friday. Pariyar also informed that the process of forming a new party has moved forward with this agreement. 'There has been talk of forming a party together with Janardan Sharma, Sudan Kiranti, Manushi Yami Bhattarai and others. Friends have gone to the Election Commission. Friends have gone to the commission as there is little time for party registration,' Pariyar said.
The memorandum of understanding between the three parties states that 'an agreement has been reached between the Nepal Samajwadi Party (New Power), the Progressive National Campaign and outgoing member of the House of Representatives Santosh Pariyar with the aim of fulfilling the challenging historical task of providing a progressive solution to national politics and restructuring Nepali politics in the backdrop of the Gen-G movement against the country's serious economic and political crisis, corruption, nepotism, unemployment and widespread corruption in political parties.'
The five points of the agreement are as follows:
1. We pay heartfelt tribute to the great martyrs of all kinds of liberation movements led by the Nepali people in different periods, from the Gen-G movement to the latest Gen-G movement. We express our high respect for the injured and missing warriors and express our commitment to fulfill their dreams.
2. We agree to make the name and election symbol of the new unified party the same for unity and polarization.
3. We have agreed to hold a comprehensive unity declaration program on Mangsir 7.
4. We call on progressive, democratic, leftist and patriotic forces living in the country and abroad, and especially the Gen-G generation, to participate in the campaign for comprehensive political restructuring.
5. We appeal to all new and alternative forces and young people to join hands to defeat corrupt, immoral and arrogant tendencies through elections.
Pariyar had left the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) only on Friday. He was the chief whip of the RSS in the dissolved House of Representatives. He had to leave the party because he could not establish his views and ideas in the RSS, as stated in his resignation letter to the party.
'While constantly debating ideas in the party, I have taken it as my own weakness.' "I am also saddened by the failure to formulate a party ideology that is in line with the unique structure and character of Nepali society," Pariyar said. "Accepting the changing circumstances, I request that I will not hold any responsibility of the National Independent Party (NISP) and will not be an ordinary member of the party from today due to the need to be active in a different political campaign in order to truly connect the Nepali political movement with the national interest and the lives of the people at this historic moment."
He also wrote in his resignation letter that there may be collaboration with the NISP in the future.
