Deuba and his wife Arju Rana Deuba returned home on Friday night. Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, party spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat and other leaders and cadres had reached the airport to welcome them.
The Deuba couple had gone to Singapore for treatment on October 20. The Deuba couple was injured in a beating during the Gen-G demonstration.
Deuba had retired from active politics by giving the responsibility of acting president to Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka in the central working committee meeting on October 28. In the meantime, the party has become a prisoner of indecision due to the dispute over when to hold a regular or special general convention, and leaders have urged Deuba to facilitate. The central working committee meeting has been prolonged to wait for Deuba.
It is said that a decision will be taken on the agenda of the Congress general convention, elections and the restoration of the House of Representatives in consultation with Deuba.
