A new parliament will be formed from the Falgun 21 election: General Secretary Thapa

Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged people not to entertain any ambivalence regarding the Falgun 21 elections. He said that the Congress will participate in the elections and play a role in making them successful.

Taking to social media on Monday, General Secretary Thapa has now claimed that a new parliament will come into being from the election on Falgun 21. 'A new parliament will come into being from the election on Falgun 21. This is the only way to bring the constitution on the right path, there is no confusion about it,' Thapa wrote.

He said that the party had clearly presented this decision in the all-party meeting held in the presence of the Prime Minister on behalf of the Congress, and informed that the Central Working Committee had also taken the same decision.

He clarified that the current confusion in the Congress is not about the election but about the party's general convention. 'A convention should be held before the election, because  It is our stance that only the policy and leadership of the Nepali Congress that comes from the convention will make us eligible to contest the election. The current discussion and confusion is only about this issue, not about the election on Falgun 21,' he wrote, 'The Nepali Congress will not only participate in the election on Falgun 21, but also make it successful. Let no one have any doubts about this.'
