Oli told Pandey and Bhattarai: There is no point in going to the media and making comments.

What you should know

CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that he has also brought forward the general convention to be held in a year after the party demanded reorganization.

Speaking at a dialogue program with the intellectual community in Kathmandu on Friday, Chairman Oli said that he had no objection to the reorganization and that the cadres had clearly seen who had worked in the party or not. He also made it clear that those who worked would remain in the party and those who did not work would now be dismissed.

He said, "Since a certain group of friends have been shouting a lot about the need for reorganization in the party and have been creating trouble in an undisciplined manner, I have postponed the general convention to be held a year ago. That's right. Let's not reorganize either. Those who did not work would have left, those who worked would have stayed. The cadres have seen who has worked or not. The cadres have seen who has fought or not, who has worked or not, the cadres have seen."

Chairman Oli said that he had brought in leaders who expelled him from the party without even being a member and appointed them as vice-chairmen and moved the party forward. Targeting Vice-Chairman Surendra Pandey and Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai, Chairman Oli said that the leaders were working by making it their job to learn karate.  He has made it clear that there is no justification for going to the media and making a fuss.

He said, 'They have gone to the media and made a fuss. They have gone to YouTube and the same thing. They have gone to television and made a fuss. A newspaper has said that they have made a fuss. This is the time to restore parliament and fight against reactionism.'
