CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the Nepali Congress will ultimately stand in favor of the restoration of the dissolved House of Representatives. He made this statement while speaking at an event organized in Kathmandu on Friday.
Chairman Oli also said that they are holding talks with the Congress. He said that there is a lack of leadership in the Congress after Sher Bahadur Deuba went out for treatment. Chairman Oli also claimed that the Congress Central Working Committee meeting was prolonged due to Deuba's absence.
He said, 'Congress is one party, we are another party. We are holding talks with the Congress. I believe that the Congress will finally reach its rehabilitation. Discussions are underway. But now there are complications within the Congress.'
Chairman Oli also said that the lack of leadership within the Congress has added to the complexity.
'Now leadership is such a thing - if Sher Bahadur ji is put on that chair, it will pass easily. If he is not put on it, it will not. How many days have passed since the Central Committee meeting, there has been no decision,' he said, 'Our party's general convention will end in 3 days. The Central Committee meeting will end in 3 days. All 360 people are given a turn to speak. Everyone speaks. The topic is already on the floor. Everyone discusses the document. Everyone participates to speak.’
