The Nepali Communist Party has submitted an application for party registration to the Election Commission.
After the party formed by 10 different left parties and groups announced their unity, the commission received an application for party registration, informed the commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.
He informed that the application is in the process and a decision will be made after discussion. The parties including the CPN Maoist Center and the CPN Unified Socialist Party have formed the Nepali Communist Party.
The election symbol of the newly formed party is a five-pointed star.
