Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Nepal Samajwadi Party, Baburam Bhattarai, has suggested an immediate written agreement with the government to legitimize the Gen-G rebellion.

At the 'Interaction with Gen-G Leaders' program organized in Baneshwor on Thursday, he said that a written agreement is necessary on various points to give legitimacy to the movement.

After Gen-G leaders expressed concern that the movement would turn into criminalization, former Prime Minister Bhattarai had said that it could be made legitimate by making a written agreement.

Bhattarai said, 'The Gen-G uprising is the fourth step of the Nepali democratic movement. To give legitimacy to it, you should immediately sign a written agreement with the current interim government. Has the work been done according to the spirit of your movement? Has major corruption been investigated? A written agreement should be made to cover these issues.'
