The meeting of the National General Convention Organizing Committee of the CPN (Maoist Center) has begun. The meeting has been called to approve unity with parties including the CPN (Unified Socialist).
The meeting, which began at the Nepal Pragya Pratishthan hall in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, will be addressed by the coordinator of the General Convention Organizing Committee and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

The Maoist Center led by Dahal, the CPN (Unified Socialist) led by Madhav Nepal, the Nepal Socialist Party led by Mahindra Raya, the CPN Socialist led by Raju Karki, the Jana Samajwadi led by Subhash Raj Kafle, the CPN led by Chiran Pun, the Maoist Socialist led by Karna Jeet Budhathoki and the CPN Communist led by Prem Bahadur Singh signed the memorandum of understanding.
The CPN (Maoist Center) has stated that it is planning to hold a national unity conference on Kartik 19 tomorrow to announce the party unity, form its statute and a central working committee.
