Eight parties, including the Maoist Center and the Unified Socialist Party, have signed an 18-point party unity agreement.

The unity agreement was signed at a meeting of the parties held on Sunday. The signatories are the Maoist Center (Pushpakamal Dahal), CPN-S (Madhav Kumar Nepal), Nepal Samajwadi (Mahindra Ray Yadav), CPN-S (Raju Karki), Jana Samajwadi (Subhash Raj Kafle) and CPN (Chiran Pun), Maoist Socialist (Karnajit Budhathoki) and CPN-S (Prem Bahadur Singh).
