The CPN-UML Central Secretariat meeting, which is in preparation for the 11th General Convention, is scheduled to be held on the 15th.

The meeting will take various decisions related to the general convention, the party has said. The UML central committee meeting held on Asoj 27-29 has decided to hold the 11th general convention in Pokhara from Mangsir 27-29.

According to party office secretary Bhishma Adhikari, preparations are underway to take various decisions regarding the general convention from the party secretariat meeting on Kartik 15. The meeting will decide on the method of selecting general convention representatives, formation of various sub-committees to hold the general convention, coordination with local organizers, etc., a leader of the secretariat informed. According to the leader, the meeting will make public the complete blueprint of the general convention preparations. The meeting will also discuss the logo and slogan of the general convention. 

The party's Gandaki Province Committee, Kaski District Committee and Pokhara Metropolitan Committee have already started initial preparations for the general convention. After the central office in Chyasal was burnt in the demolition of Bhadra 24, a temporary office has been set up by pitching tents at the same place. The official informed that in addition to daily work, work focused on the general convention has also been started from that office.
