Newly appointed Minister for Health and Population Dr. Sudha Gautam has urged all political parties not to try to disrupt the election. She made the request after meeting with the injured of the 'Gen-G' movement undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu on Monday.
After seeing the serious condition of an injured person at the Maharajgunj Teaching Hospital, she drew the attention of all forces and individuals to not agitate in the name of disrupting the election.
Minister Gautam also stressed that there was no need to continue opposing the government as it was focused on the election. She stated that the injured patients had drawn her attention to the malpractices and irregularities in the hospital and expressed her commitment to improve the hospitals based on their suggestions.
During that, she also said that she had resolved to transparently present all the work she had done to the public.
Minister Gautam said, 'It was very difficult for me to see the condition of the patients. I want the country not to go into agitation again. I would like to request everyone who opposes the government or tries to disrupt the election not to do so. This is the essence of our people's movement - to remove these malpractices and irregularities. We should all work in that direction, accepting the positive suggestions we have received for that. I will transparently show the public how much and what work I have done.'
Minister Gautam had earlier inquired about the condition of the injured of the 'Gen-G' movement at the KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, Kathmandu this morning. During that time, she said that she found that the hospital had not reduced their treatment.
