Netra Bikram Chand, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, has said that the Gen-G movement has failed to fulfill its objectives.
‘The demands of the Gen-G are legitimate. The Gen-G movement has failed to fulfill its objective,’ he said on Sunday at a program organized to publicize the central committee decision. ‘The movement had reached the point of forming a new interim government, but the political objective of fulfilling the sacrifices made by Gen-G, the sacrifice of life, and the support given by the Nepali people could not be fulfilled. On the contrary, new conspiracies have been seen. The interim government is not conducive to the Gen-G rebellion.’
He said that there is a risk of the country heading towards anarchy after the Gen-G movement. ‘We have serious concerns - after so many rebellions, there should have been a way out. But again, the country has been pushed towards another failure. According to our analysis, this can bring the country towards anarchy,’ he said.
