Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Nekrabitram Chand has said that old leaders should pave the way for communist unity, including the Maoists.
‘Now we need to build a new communist center and connect the new generation. We have also respectfully requested the senior leaders. We must unite, but a party of the new generation who have participated in the communist movement, in addition to those who have been in the government and ministers, should be formed,’ he said on Sunday, announcing the decision of the central committee, ‘The senior leaders should pave the way.’
He said that the old communist parties cannot lead the movement. ‘The established leaders of the communist party or the newly formed party can no longer fulfill the wishes of the Nepali people,’ he added, ‘It is not possible to fulfill the objectives in the name of Marxist, Leninist, Maoist, progressive, revolutionary.’
