Second level leaders of major political parties have participated in the all-party discussion called by President Ramchandra Paudel. In the discussion, the elections announced on February 21 and the upcoming political scenario are being discussed.
In the meeting, all the ministers including the Prime Minister of the Interim Government Sushila Karki are participating. Likewise, Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka and General Minister Gagan Thapa from Nepali Congress, Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel and General Secretary Shankar Pokharel from CPN (UML), Senior Vice President Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Secretary Barshman from CPN (Maoist Center) are also participating.
Acting President DP Aryal and Joint General Minister Bipin Kumar Acharya from Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Spokespersons Gyanendra Shahi and Meena Lama from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, Vice President Rajendra Pandey and General Secretary Dhanshyam Bhusal from CPN (United Socialist Party) are participating.
Similarly, Renu Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party, Chandrakant Raut from Janmat Party and Dr. Jayakumar Raut, Gyanendra Jha and Sarvendranath Shukla from the Democratic Samajwadi Party, Resham Chaudhary from the Civil Liberties Party and Sunil Prajapati from the Nepal Labor Farmers Party are participating.
Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, UML President KP Sharma Oli and Maoist Center Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal were not present in the meeting.
President Paudel has called an all-party discussion at Sheetalniwas this evening for contemporary political consultation between major parties.
