Congress General Minister Vishwaprakash Sharma has suggested the convention delegates to sign for the special convention. But he said that he did not pressure anyone.

He said that the special convention is not against the constitution and the party will not be weakened if it is used in a mature manner. Comparing it to the operation of the human body, he said a successful convention would strengthen the party.

Sharma supported the plan to submit the signature before the Central Committee meeting on 26 October and asked not to delay the signing by 24 October. He mentioned that according to Article 17 (2) of the Party Constitution, the Central Committee can call a special convention and this matter will be discussed in the meeting. He said that if the Central Committee does not call a special convention, it can be demanded by the signature of 40 percent of the convention delegates and it will be constitutional.

Sharma said that holding the 15th regular convention before mid-November is the best way. He is of the opinion that fresh leadership will be selected at all levels and youth participation can be increased by amending the statute. 'If power can be changed with a two-and-a-half-day demonstration, why can't the convention be completed in two-and-a-half months?' He mentioned that it is possible. If the regular convention is not possible, he said, the signatories of the special convention will be welcomed.

Sharma expressed his determination to reach a suitable conclusion after a mature discussion in the meeting on 26 October and to strengthen the Congress according to the changing times. 'Those who change, take the lead; Those who don't change, take leave,' he said.
