UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has put forward the demand for party and leadership reorganization. He said that the party and leadership should be reorganized according to the demands of the young generation.

By issuing an appeal on Friday, Bhattarai openly spoke in favor of party and leadership reorganization. He said, 'As Gramsci said, now the CPN (UML), the communist movement will have to be reorganized with a new consciousness.'

While reorganizing the party and the movement, history should never be neglected and insulted. We are also partners in this ups and downs. That's why I say reorganization with their respect at this time.'

On January 19, 2019, Bhattarai recalled that despite the 'coup' of the constitution and democratic system by the then King Gyanendra, there was still silence in the society and the party as it is today. Finally, the Ninth Congress of the CPN (UML) accepted the party's reorganization agenda. It established the party's internal democracy systematically. The party survived, the movement was successful. Respect for leadership was restored. A new generation entered the party impressively. Let us all remember that moment again,' he said.

He has demanded that there should be an investigation into the barbaric suppression of Jen-Ji, who came to the streets on August 23 to protest against social media shutdown and the demand for good governance, and the serial and organized infiltration on the 24th. Secretary Bhattarai also said, 'We apologize for not being able to meet the changed needs and expectations'.
