Five aspirants have been seen as the president of Akhil Nepal Mahila Sangh (Revolutionary), a sister organization of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Permanent committee member Kamal Roka, central members Dama Sharma, Sushila Sinkhra, Bimala Subedi and Renu Chand are seen as hopeful for the leadership of Mahila Sangh (Revolutionary), which will be selected by the National Conference in Kathmandu.

Although there is a legal provision to be made by the central committee of the union or by direct election, efforts are being made to select the leadership unanimously. One of the participants said that preparations are being made to manage a president and other leaders from the aspirants of the president to office bearers.

"We are trying to select a unanimous leadership as far as possible," said the leader, "There is also a demand to select the central committee through direct elections."

The meeting of the Maoist central officials to be held on Thursday is discussing the selection of the leadership of the women's union. The conference will elect a 215-member central committee.
