In today's meeting of the committee, the members suggested to move forward by learning from the mistakes made in the past in the preparation of the bill. They requested that the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Management of Construction Materials and Police Bills which are under consideration in the committee should be moved forward immediately.
Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) MP Rajendra Pandey urged to be serious about the drafting of the bill and emphasized that an environment should be created so that the bill drafted by the people's representatives will not be returned without verification.
Member of Parliament of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) Durga Rai urged to pay attention so that there are no errors like in the past in the drafting of the bill. 'The report should be passed by the committee only after clarifying the sections of the bill,' he said.
Nepal Communist Party (UML) MP Padam Giri emphasized that the committee should set a certain deadline and move the bill forward. 'The bill should be moved forward by setting a certain time, citizens' complaints will continue to come until that happens. It should not be the case that others are taught the lessons of good governance but we do not follow them,' he said.
Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal MP Prakash Adhikari said that the implementation of good governance should start from the committee itself. 'The bill that came to the committee should not be stuck. "Either the government should withdraw the bill, otherwise the committee should proceed with the process," he said.
