The parliamentarians have asked the government to meet the demands of sugarcane farmers protesting in Maitighar on time. Speaking during the emergency session of the House of Representatives, they emphasized that in order to increase the morale of the sugarcane farmers, their demands should be met and the environment for negotiations should be set.
MP Ganesh Parajuli requested to address the demands of sugarcane farmers on time. He mentioned that there is evidence that Limpiyadhura belongs to Nepal and said that the agreement between India and China to use the Lipulek route is wrong. He asked the government to hold a diplomatic dialogue on this matter.
MP Gyan Bahadur Shahi said that the issue of Lipulek and Limpiyadhura should be raised in the United Nations. He said that the subsidy of sugarcane farmers has been reduced and asked them to address their demands in time. MP Narayan Prasad Saud also said that the sugarcane farmers have been wronged and emphasized that their dues should be provided on time.
Member of Parliament Achyuta Prasad Mainali claimed that human losses and food crops were damaged due to wild animal attacks and urged the government to take initiatives to reduce human-wildlife conflict. Even though the number of tigers has increased, the habitat has become a challenge. With the increase in tigers, civilians are under attack. The wildlife habitat should be managed, he said.
Member of Parliament Devendra Paudel stressed that the subsidy of sugarcane farmers should not be cut. "Government should also take seriously the fact that farmers will get fertilizer with subsidy," he said. MP Krishna Kumar Shrestha complained that the government was not interested in wildlife control, saying that the common people were not safe after wild animals started attacking them.

MP Prabhu Hazra said cholera outbreak is spreading in Birganj and insisted to control it in time.
