Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that border issues such as Kalapani-Lipulek should be resolved on the basis of mutual dialogue and consensus.
Speaking briefly to the media at Biratnagar Airport today, President Daha, who is also a former Prime Minister, recalled that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed commitment to resolve border issues like Kalapani, Lipulek, and Limpiyadhura in the past.
President Dahal mentioned that during his visit to India when he was the Prime Minister, he made it clear that relations with neighbors cannot be smooth without solving the border problem.
He said, 'In the 'press briefing' held on the occasion of his visit to India for the last time as Prime Minister, the issue of border disputes was discussed and Indian Prime Minister Modi expressed his commitment that the remaining border problems will be resolved through dialogue.
President Dahal suggested the government to resolve the border problem between the two countries by starting the dialogue process with the neighboring friendly country India.
