He claimed that Nepal's borders were determined based on the Sugauli Treaty, and that Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura also belong to Nepal by the Sugauli Treaty.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that India and China's actions regarding Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura are wrong.
Press Chautari Dang speaking at a press conference held in Ghorahi on Saturday morning said that it is not appropriate to ignore Nepal and use force on the border.
Saying that Nepal's border was determined based on the Sugauli Treaty, he claimed that Kalapani, Lipulek and Limpiyadhura belong to Nepal according to the Sugauli Treaty.
Stating that India should not make it public that Nepal's claim on the border will not be reached unilaterally, he expressed the opinion that it should be settled only by two parties.
Pokharel said that even though Nepal tried to solve the problem through dialogue, India was not ready and the dispute continued. "We want to sit in negotiations and submit evidence." "We don't want to have a conflict," he said, "we want to clarify our land based on evidence."
Pokharel, talking about former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, said that a person who has become the head of state should not get involved in political disputes. He said that the Maoist center made a mistake by bringing the former vice president into politics and expressed the opinion that the decision should be corrected.
