The front issued a statement on Friday, protesting against the agreement between India and China to make Lipulek a trade channel, and asked India to return the land it had razed.
The joint front of the Maoist Center, United Socialists, Nepal Communist Party and Nepal Samajwadi Party has concluded that the agreement between India and China has seriously affected the universal rights of Nepal.
The Front issued a statement on Friday, protesting the agreement between India and China to make Lipulek a trade post, and asked India to return the land it had stolen. "Historical evidence and bilateral treaties confirm that Lipulek, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani areas are an integral part of Nepal. The Indian side has been encroaching on those areas which are an integral part of Nepal for some time now,' said the front, 'necessary efforts have not been made to bring back the territory of Nepal by taking diplomatic initiatives on the part of Nepal. Meanwhile, the agreement between India and China on Lipulekh has seriously affected the universal rights of Nepal.' "The government is called upon to inform the concerned countries of the truth on behalf of Nepal through diplomatic initiatives, to oppose the agreement and take initiatives to bring back the territory of Nepal," said the Morcha's statement. The
statement was signed by Maoist President Pushpa Kamal Dahal, United Socialist Party President Madhav Kumar Nepal, CPN General Secretary Netravikram Chand and NESP President Mahindra Rai Yadav.
