At the closing program of the '20-day Power House Operation and Maintenance Training' held at Manakamana Ratna Ambika Secondary School in Tumlingtar, Sankhuwasabha on Friday, he clarified that only traditional education is not enough and said that without technical skills and practical knowledge, the labor market will not be competitive.
Minister Khadka mentioned that Sankhuwasabha, which is connected to the tri-national border region, has the potential to earn billions of rupees through tourism and natural resources.
He also informed that CTEVT office and Ayurveda hospital will be established in the district in the near future. In the
program, Member-Secretary of Technical Education and Vocational Training Council, Mahesh Bhattarai, urged the youth who have acquired skills through training to be given internship opportunities in hydropower projects in the future.
Similarly, the head of Khandbari municipality, Mahesh Thapalia, said that skill-based training is necessary regularly and continuously to build a self-sufficient district. The young people participating in the
training shared their experience of increasing their confidence to advance entrepreneurship along with the knowledge and skills gained.
