The Speaker held a courtesy meeting with the Pakistani parliamentary delegation that came to Nepal to participate in The Hindu Kush Himalaya Parliamentarians Meet-2025 in Kathmandu.
Welcoming the delegation led by Pakistani MP Munaja Hassan, the Speaker discussed the friendly relations between the two countries and the possibility of regional cooperation. In the
meeting, he emphasized that the challenges faced by mountain areas in terms of climate change, sustainable development and people's livelihood should be taken forward by making a common agenda.
Speaker Ghimire stated that there are possibilities of trade, connectivity and tourism between the two countries and expressed the view that parliamentary cooperation can be done on it.
Hassan, the leader of the delegation, expressed his gratitude for Nepal's successful completion of the Hindu Kush Himalayan Parliamentarians' Meet-2025. She praised the role played by Nepal in mitigating the effects of climate change and protecting the mountain ecology.
