Congress and UML have agreed on the proposal to remove Deputy Speaker Rana for not acting according to official conduct.
Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have started collecting signatures to remove Deputy Speaker Indira Ranamar. Both the parties have called the MPs to their parliamentary party office at Singhdarbar for signing.
He also instructed his MPs who are outside Kathmandu Valley to come to Kathmandu today. According to the provisions of the House of Representatives Rules 2079, the Deputy Speaker Rana is about to be registered for not acting according to official conduct.
This morning, Congress convened a functionary meeting at the President's residence, Budanilkanth, and UML called a parliamentary party meeting to discuss the proposal against the Deputy Speaker.
On Monday evening at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, Congress and UML leaders reached an agreement to remove the Deputy Speaker for not behaving according to his position, according to sources. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Congress Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Home Minister Ramesh Ulakar and other leaders participated in the
meeting.
