UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the Maoist Center made a mistake by bringing the former Vice President into active politics.

In a press conference held at UML Secretary Lekhraj Bhatt's house in Attaria on Monday, General Secretary Pokharel said that the Maoist Center made a mistake by bringing former Vice President Nandkishore Pun into active politics without mentioning his name.

"The comment that the former president is above the competition and the party, who is above the party and the competition, his rights have been taken away is not right," General Secretary Pokharel said, "Naturally, the Maoist center made a mistake, but the UML does not go behind that mistake." General Secretary Pokharel said that after reaching the highest constitutional post like the President, there is a need to maintain the dignity of that post.
