CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal have intensified the dialogue with the aim of uniting the party. In July alone, they have communicated four times. Last Tuesday, the two presidents discussed with the in-charges of all seven provinces.
A dialogue is going on between the Maoists and the Unified Socialists to form a basis for party unity. They are doing their homework saying that before uniting the party, there should be strong cooperation and only then it can be united.
The top leadership of these two parties in Samajwadi Morcha have continued discussions with the in-charges of all seven provinces.
Maoist Central Office Parisdanda on Tuesday, Maoist Chairman Dahal and the Chairman of United Socialist Party of Nepal held a discussion about strengthening relations with the leaders of Nepal. In the discussion, it has been decided to strengthen cooperation from the center to the state level, and for that, to activate the Samajwadi Front. But their analysis is that party unity will be formed through continuous cooperation.
There are 32 MPs from the Maoists and 10 MPs from the Samajwadi Party in the House of Representatives.
The president of the United Samajwadi Party is in trouble after a case was filed against Nepal in the embezzlement of Patanjali land in Kavre. If there is pressure within the party to leave the post of chairman, the basis for winning the case against him will be decided. For that, he wants to collaborate with the third party Maoist immediately and unite the party after some time, said an official of Samajwadi Party.
A leader said that Dahal and Nepal have understood the opinion from the provincial in-charges of both parties about the cooperation between the two parties and whether it can be a basis for party unity. He said that the provincial in-charges suggested that by strengthening cooperation in the first stage, they can form the basis of party unity. Beduram Bhusal, Vice President of Integrated Socialists, who participated in the
meeting, said that in the first phase, there was continuous discussion about strengthening cooperation between the two parties. "Continuous discussions are going on between the two parties to improve relations," he said.
The top leaders of the two parties, Dahal and Nepal, have discussed separately with the in-charges of 6 provinces except Madhesh. It is suggested to emphasize cooperation in the first stage. After that, the party can move forward on the path of unity," said Vice-President Bhusal, "After the state-wise discussion is over, the discussion will begin in the next phase." "Now discussions are being held to strengthen relations with the Samajwadi Front. Unity has not been finalized, he said.
Maoist Secretary Devendra Paudel, who participated in Tuesday's meeting, said that there was a conversation between the two parties about how to cooperate in the parliament and on the streets. "It is not that we will unite the party now". It is a discussion on how to cooperate between the two parties," he said.
There was a similar discussion between the Maoists and Samajwadi last week at the central office of Samajwadi.
Maoist's standing committee meeting held on July 20 decided to expand unity and Samajwadi Morcha with Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Vikram Chand .
"Recently, the decision to further strengthen and expand the Samajwadi Morcha, the decision to further strengthen and expand the front, and to conduct inter-agency programs in all seven countries, and to finalize the report of the working group, was concluded to be correct," the Maoist decision states, "The meeting unanimously decided to unite the party with the CPN led by Chand and to form a negotiation committee to take the initiative for that." The Maoist has also decided to take the initiative to increase unity.
On the other hand, respected leader Jhalnath Khanal and General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal are in favor of strengthening their own party rather than uniting with the Maoists.
'will confirm the rationale of dividing the party and forming a new party . We have to form our own party first,' said Khanal. Khanal and Bhusal are not participating in the ongoing dialogue with the Maoists.
In November 2081, General Secretary Bhusal submitted a report in the central committee meeting of the United Socialist Party that we should not unite with the Maoists. In the report passed by the Central Committee, it has been emphasized that the party should be built.
'Trends such as despair, frustration, confusion, escape, passivity have been seen . As a result, some of them are trying to get closer to the UML, while others are trying to get closer to the Maoists and generally there is a confused tendency," the report said, "Only a clear political plan of party building can solve this . If the party line is not unified through open discussion, the party cannot gain momentum.
He also said that the unity centered on power and self-interest will not be sustainable. "But the party unity based on the self-interest of making a bigger party than the future of the communist movement and ruling in power did not give results," says Bhusal, "now it should be clear to itself that there will be no alliance other than cooperation, front or unity based on a unified socialist solid political program."
