The central office said that there will be a serious discussion about the demands such as democracy within the party is weak, the party is not running according to the rules and system and a special convention should be held.
The Maoist Standing Committee meeting is sitting today at 1 pm at Parisdanda. The agenda of the meeting will discuss the internal unity of the Maoists, the date of the next Central Committee, the proposal to advance the left unity and the continuation of the currently postponed Madhyapahari highway campaign.
The central office said that in the meeting, mainly Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma will discuss the issue of weak democracy within the party, the party is not running according to the system and the demand for a special convention.
The dispute between President Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Deputy Secretary General Sharma has become public. Chairman Dahal mentioned that internal democracy is widely practiced within the party and accused Janardhan of playing the shill, while Sharma has been claiming that internal democracy within the party is weak because of leaders who revolve around the main leadership.
