Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has warned that the importance of the seven-point agreement reached between CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress should not be underestimated.

Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Thursday, he said that the current government was formed to provide the stability, stability and good governance demanded by the people. Singh mentioned that the coalition government has moved forward by ending the instability of changing the government within 6 months.

He said, 'We have come into politics to give rights to the people. We are not joining the party just to become deputy prime minister, minister or MP. We entered politics with the determination to do it even if we had to sacrifice our lives to restore rights when we were deprived of them.'

Singh mentioned that protecting the rights of the people is now the main responsibility of the Congress leadership and emphasized that the party should be institutionalized and organized according to the rules and regulations. He recalled that in the past Congress had restored the rights of the people through agitation and said that the challenge now is to protect the rights.

About the seven-point agreement, he said, 'This agreement is not a normal agreement. To bring political stability, Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) have formed this alliance including other parties. Otherwise, the government would have changed within 6 months and the people would have been counting the days since the government was formed.'

Singh stated that the party should be made stronger and more capable and made it clear that he is committed to make the Congress able to face the challenges.
