With the onset of Shrawan, the hustle and bustle of bangle and anklet shops in the Kathmandu Valley has increased. According to Hindu religious beliefs, the month of Shrawan is dedicated to Lord Shiva. During this period, many devotees observe fasts, worship Shiva, and participate in religious activities. On this occasion, it is also customary for women to give special preference to green bangles, bangles, and clothes. Married women in particular have been following the tradition of wearing green bangles, colorful bangles, and applying mehendi on their hands.
