Sexual and gender minorities have taken out a Pride Parade in Kathmandu on Saturday. The Pride Rally, which started from the Peace Park with banners and placards with various slogans, ended in the open air. Pride Parades are celebrated all over the world in the month of June. Pride Parades began to be celebrated especially after the Stonewall Riots in New York in June 1969. This event, which is celebrated every year, has recently seen enthusiastic participation from people of the community. The Pride Parade, which is considered a social movement with self-respect in many countries of the world, was held for the first time in Nepal in 2019.
