The government is demolishing houses and huts built by encroaching people. In the second phase, houses and huts in the squatter settlement of Shankhamul in Kathmandu were demolished on Friday. The owners of the houses and huts are collecting iron, bricks and other useful materials from the demolished structures that can be sold as scrap metal by employing workers.
