Chhath Parva is being celebrated by offering Arghya to the setting sun this evening. Chhath Parva, which is celebrated with devotion with the aim of family happiness, peace, prosperity, physical well-being, freedom from disease and fulfillment of various desires, is observed by crowds of devotees at ponds, rivers, lakes and reservoirs.

यस पर्वको पहिलोदिन बर्तालुहरुले नहा खा अर्थात् नुहाएर खाने गर्दछन् । दोस्रो दिन खरना मनाइएको थियो । खरनाका दिन व्रतीहरुले दिनभरि उपवास निराहार बसेर राति छठ देवतालाई आगमनको निम्तो दिँदै कुल देवताको पूजा गरेका थिए भने राति अरवा अरबाईन (बिना नुनको) खानेकुरा खाएका थिए । यस पर्वलाई व्रतालुहरुले भोलि मंगलबार एकाबिहानै पुनः छठघाटमा पुगी जलाशयमा पसेर अघिल्लो दिन साँझ अस्ताउँदो सूर्यलाई अर्घ्य अर्पण गरेको क्रम दोहोर्‍याई प्रातः कालीन उदाउँदो सूर्यलाई अर्घ्य दिई छठपर्व सम्पन्न गर्नेछन् ।
