On the occasion of the World Tourism Day, the tourists who reach Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, have been given a grand welcome and honour. Lumbini Development Fund welcomed the first two Vietnamese tourists, Hawan Wang and Bai Van Phon, who reached Mayadevi Temple on Saturday with garlands and food. The senior director of the fund, Gyanin Rai, also presented them with a certificate of honour.Both the tourists were given free entry to the Mayadevi temple by Dilip Singh Rai, guide officer of the fund, who guided them free of charge. Similarly, Lumbini Hotel Association and our Lumbini campaign also welcomed local and foreign tourists to Mayadevi Temple. On the occasion of World Tourism Day, some hotels in Lumbini have provided lodging and food services in concession packages. Wang and Vaughn, Vietnamese tourists who reached Mayadevi Temple on Saturday, said that they are vloggers in Vietnam and Vaughn was very happy to receive warm hospitality in Nepal. He added that their trip will make Vietnamese tourists long to come to Lumbini.
