On the occasion of National Rice Day, paddy planting has been done in Khumaltar with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture. Agriculture Minister Ramnath Adhikari, who participated in the planting festival, also planted paddy. Locals participated in the festival with bazagaza.

आइतबार मुलुकभर धान दिवस मनाइँदै छ । हालसम्म १६ प्रतिशत हाराहारी मात्र रोपाइँ भएको छ । अघिल्लो वर्ष १४ असारसम्म १७.२ प्रतिशत क्षेत्रफलमा रोपाइँ भएको थियो ।
