Buddha Jayanti is being celebrated grandly by various programs on Monday in Lumbini, which is decorated with chittik. Monks and worshipers from home and abroad have also come here to celebrate the 2569th Buddha Jayanti. At 7 o'clock in the morning, prayers were offered at Mayadevi temple and prayers for world peace.
