On the occasion of the 2569th Buddha Jayanti, a Vietnamese food festival is held in Lumbini. A one-day food festival was organized by THD Peace Foundation at Vietnam Phuoc Tu Vihar in Lumbini on Thursday.Organizers said that the festival was organized to inform Nepali people about the taste and dishes of traditional and modern Vietnamese food.Special dishes made from Undi rice wrapped in banana leaves, Wan Bao, Sweet Soup Che, Vietnamese Cold Tea and Vietnamese Jelly Raumau were held at the festival. Similarly, more than 10 dishes including bantet made from mung dal and unripe rice and bun chui made from ripe banana were the special attractions of the festival.Dishes to eat during Vietnamese festivals were also made. More than 100 locals tasted Vietnamese dishes. More than 40 women from Vietnam came to Nepal to make this dish.
