Today is Baisakh 12th. 10 years ago in the year 072 on this day, a devastating earthquake occurred in Nepal. A powerful earthquake of 7.6 magnitude shook Nepal for 55 seconds. About 9,000 Nepalis died from this tremor. Thousands were injured. The earthquake caused unexpected human and material damage.
