Without good governance in the country, transparency cannot be achieved in any work. As a result of this, some decisions were made, which took away the livelihood of some, some homes were torn apart, and some families were ruined. The expectation of the general public is that the outcome of all these developments should be positive. 

Be it the issues of governance reforms brought by the government or the procedures for taking action against some high-ranking personalities or the formation of the Asset Investigation Commission or the abolition of political appointments or the transfer of high-ranking public service officials or the issues of ordinances or court proceedings - all of them definitely have some interrelationships. Some reform efforts will definitely affect some people. 

This work of the state is commendable. However, should the body that provides certified documents to confirm it be accountable or not?  A property investigation committee has been formed under the latest decision of the newly elected government. A 30-day time limit has been set for it. The property details of personalities working at high and responsible levels of the state, employees who have held or are holding positions of responsibility associated with various organizations will be demanded. It does not seem that the society has fully assimilated the tax system for a long time. Until recently, no one had the idea of ​​systematically advancing our state machinery, or even if they had, it could not be completed.

Amidst this confusion, everyone at all levels and rungs (whether they are high-ranking state officials, ordinary citizens, or even business personalities) was focused on how to reduce taxes, how to take advantage, and which loopholes would be beneficial to work through? Instead of following policies and rules, the class that witnessed these activities or was responsible for them still has no regrets.

On the one hand, policies and procedures remained written in golden letters on the pages of paper, while on the other hand, practical activities continued in their own style and manner. This led to little interest in following our work systems (whether they are government, public, or private) and policies and rules. In such a situation, how is it possible to check the health of the assets of employees who work with common profession and honesty to high-ranking officials in decision-making positions? This question has arisen in the minds of the general public.

The financial system, an important area of ​​state operation, and the employees working in banks and financial institutions within it, are struggling to provide documents of the sources of income they earned through regular processes while performing their duties. They protected their assets in the same financial system, consolidated their assets from the same sources, and today they are the ones coming to banks and financial institutions to look for old documents. Neither those financial institutions can provide them, nor public institutions, nor private sector entrepreneurs can provide them with verification. In such a situation, from which report do the concerned parties verify their assets and how do they test their health? How do they establish themselves as the owners of pure assets?

This work of the state is commendable. However, should the body that provides the verified documents confirming that be accountable or not? Everyone is a victim, everyone is in trouble, and I do not mean to say that everyone should be exempted. The columnist's concern is that the property of those who have earned it in irregular ways, have done immoral things, have committed immoral acts, have committed treason, have committed commissions, have violated policies and regulations, and have earned it through illegal business should not be exempted. If we analyze the practical aspect, many issues are being handled in the old way. These issues are:

The practice of keeping the bag price low in the purchase and sale of real estate is considered normal. If the other party pays taxes by keeping the bag price, there is no basis to say that the value of that property is the same. The practice of under-invoicing and over-invoicing continues in business.
