Election to avert the country's crisis

What you should know

Although the light of a lamp may appear to glow for a moment before going out, it quickly goes out when the power of the ghee/oil that nourishes the lamp runs out. The hope and excitement that the momentary light brought to the atmosphere is instantly silenced, adding to the confusion, and the half-burnt lamp's glow ends.

This is the reality. Although it is difficult to continuously maintain the materials such as lamps, ghee, oil, etc. required for lighting lamps under the guise of religion, politics, tradition, and self-interest, it is not impossible. The current situation in Nepal has proven that people's dedication and loyalty can be helpful in the sacred purpose of spreading light from lamps, but they cannot be the ultimate solution.

The resolution of the distortions, inconsistencies, and anomalies that arise from the discord and hostility that arise from activities carried out in disguise is not simple and easy. After throwing all the games into one basket and spinning them in a whirlwind of chaos, the clever players of politics, society, and family throw away the rules, procedures, governance, discipline, constitution, and good governance and bring them to a state of nothingness. The crooked and clever players use this state of nothingness to destroy the family, society, and the country according to their power and access. As time passes, its continuity is reflected in the institutions, methods, activities and identities of households, societies and state structures. Over time, the independent existence of the state is undermined.

Current situation

Political parties, gen-g, and civic leaders have divided into various groups to pursue their own interests. The main agenda of protecting the country's independence and good governance has been overshadowed by the priorities of these groups. The conflict of personal interests and benefits has become rampant within new, old, small, and large parties and groups. Even after the agreement between the gen-g agitators and the government, the Prime Minister himself has expressed that the government is being harassed by the gen-g group and political parties that are tied to personal and group interests.

The living conditions of the very low-income class, who have been living in a life-or-death situation for centuries, have not improved. The state's failure to manage the problems of the very low-income class (the landless) and continuing the status quo is not only a generalization of the problem but also a sign of recklessness. The state should change the tendency of the state to remain silent and take it for granted by associating the hardships of life suffered by the landless with fate, time, and contingency, and start working to see results. A real democracy cannot be achieved by focusing only on governance and power, neglecting society, nature, conscience, values, and duties, and parroting the parrot of democracy. In the event of regular emergencies suffered by the landless, the state should go beyond the immediate crocodile tears shed by the state and lay the foundation for freedom from exploitation by pointing out the limits of the transition period and not skimp on improving the basic dimensions. The approach and activities of the major political parties towards the elections declared

are not in line with established political values and long-term national interests. The major parties established on a democratic basis seem to be busy with the game of causing accidents under various pretexts when they have to stand unconditionally to protect democracy in the elections to be held by the interim government. In a game dominated by internal conflicts, positional interests, division of power, and indecision, the major parties have gone to court with the issue of the restoration of the House of Representatives. Initially, the UML took the case to court in this case, in which the Central Committee of the Nepali Congress had already decided to accept the political rebellion and participate in the elections of the House of Representatives. As the election date approached, 65 lawmakers filed a supplementary writ petition for the restoration of the House of Representatives, exposing the dubious character of the leadership of both parties. While the major democratic parties should play a leading role in ensuring that the elections are held smoothly and take the initiative to resolve the crisis, going to court with the issue of the restoration of the House of Representatives while suffering from uncertainty, suspicion, greed, and fear of action is politically stabbing oneself in the foot.

It is important to understand that the Gen-G rebellion was a result of the then government's misrule, corruption, poor service delivery, low accountability, and inaction. It was not against the democratic system of governance. From a political and moral perspective, the big parties should not have gone to court with a writ of reinstatement. A party that could not hold its own party's central convention should have admitted its mistake and apologized to the people. Whatever the court's decision, the parties have made a big mistake. They have damaged the continuity of the faith of citizens who believe in democracy. Without generational change, the parties are becoming weaker in the status quo. We should be able to accept the challenge of the upcoming democratic test. Otherwise, the declining situation of the parties is a reality and the country may face another disaster.

When politics ignores the phrase 'absolutely taboo', which is directly related to human life in terms of physical, mental, natural, economic and political aspects, the alarming scenario of the Gen-G movement reaching a crisis situation of defending the country's independence is still looming, and the country has not been saved from the crisis.

After the Gen-G group, which initially rose to the occasion with the legitimate demand of 'let them eat the garbage', miraculously immediately started activities of destruction, selfishness and anarchy, the work of maintaining peace and security and announcing the election date by the interim government formed in accordance with the principle of necessity was very necessary and sensible. In the evaluation so far, there is no hesitation in praising the government for its achievements in bringing the daily lives of the common people to a comfortable state without allowing further destruction in the difficult situation of transitional governance control. The success achieved by the government, which is on the path to achieving the main goal of holding fair elections to the House of Representatives on time, is welcome. The success of a government is evidenced by the ability to solve difficult and difficult tasks with knowledge and skill.

The disease of ‘populism’ had earlier embraced the profession of magic as a powerful means of earning money. Many talented magicians came and went, but no magician could establish himself in the world. When politics took the magical path of ‘populism’, it instilled in politicians a dictatorial form of ego, delusion, and greed. Just as questions arose about the continuity of magic, the reality that political populism has also become a tool for fulfilling momentary satisfaction and is weak in the sustainable development of the future has been confirmed by the world’s experience. Most healthy, peaceful, and optimistic citizens are also forced to face the whirlwind of disappointment, unwellness, and uncertainty in their daily lives due to the bitter oppression of populism.

The idea that the serious and terrifying crisis that has reached the country's independence due to the situation created by the inconsistency and disorder of the previous regime, which was run in an inconsistent manner, can be resolved within a short transition period is in itself incomplete. The government, which was born out of the principle of necessity and has a short lifespan of 6 months, has been given the main responsibility of running the daily administration and holding the election on 21 Falgun 2082, and has been involved in various disputes and tricks, and has been confused, so that the election cannot be held, it fails, and for their own interests, it can be a 'dishonest move' of internal and external forces to deepen the crisis in the country and increase the transition and instability. If the Prime Minister has honestly made the current statement after sensing the smell of such a deceitful move, the coming days will be even more critical.

What to do now?

It is a reality that the responsibility of the citizens to deal with the current situation and get rid of the complex crisis has fallen on them, rather than the following option of remaining inactive in the present and putting the consequences in the hands of destiny and history. Citizens should not run away from complex situations by showing despair and helplessness. The solution to complex situations should be sought through the democratic system. It is the duty of the citizens to take the path of 'social upliftment' that opens the door to the present, future and eternity and contribute from their side. Citizens also have no right to deviate from the essence of our scriptural tradition that good deeds are the way of life. The government, parties, civil society and every ordinary Nepali citizen must come together according to their respective duties to make the 2082 Falgun 21 election a success.

It is natural for citizens who are humiliated by this or that name and work from the activities of the state to raise their voices of rebellion. It is the responsibility of the leadership to resolve the crisis by including the common people through skillful state management and management by honest, ethical leadership. No matter how strong the leadership is, the legitimacy of a party and leadership that cannot have a long-term vision and that weighs itself on the scales of immediate transactions, compromises, and benefits will not be seen in the future. Similarly, it would be wise to sideline a party and leadership that cannot truly assess the long-term interests and independence of the nation by looking only at immediate solutions.

Civil society, parties, professions, intellectuals, and experts working at the global, national, regional, and local levels, gathered and organized under the umbrella of civil society, parties, professions, intellectuals, and experts, have participated in the governance of power indirectly or indirectly in the past or in the current transition period.

The main duty of the transitional government is to safely land a ship-like transitional nation that is sinking for any reason. Members of the government are not allowed to indulge in the toxicity of ambition, desire, profit, and attachment. It has been widely reported in the newspapers that some members of the government are addicted to ambition and greed. If we want to prioritize our aspirations, we should free ourselves from the greed of position today and let the government run impartially. No one can stop us from achieving our aspirations like ordinary citizens, while remaining free from the access to the power and resources of the state. In the transitional period, no one is allowed to try to fish for their own interests by muddying the pond under the influence and tools of external and internal small and big powers.

Many people, big and small, will actively or latently try to open the bag of malicious intentions regardless of the size, type, and result. The government should not be discouraged and should not be discouraged to achieve the difficult goal of loyalty, honesty and Arjuna Drishti. In a situation where it is difficult to remove the obstacles encountered in the process of making the transition a successful one, the government should inform the general public about the obstacles and call for public cooperation. In a situation where the government is transparent and honest, the general public will be ready to stand in the front line and support the government. The government's 'Arjuna Drishti' should continue in the democratic landing of the transition. It will be fatal to go left and right. In a democratic system of governance, the government should be transparent and accountable to the people to cut through the tangles of manipulation, populism, artificial nationalism, government appeasement, geopolitical disputes, etc.

The solution to the serious situation that the government leadership has realized is to hold elections on time and respect the honest expression of peaceful transfer of power. Citizens should cooperate from their respective places. The idea of finding an alternative to the election, the government and the current system of governance is a strategy to further entangle the country in conflict, incite division and keep it in a state of chaos for a long time.

The Prime Minister himself has to express the pain of being subjected to pressure and abuse from big and small political parties and the 30th Gen-G group, so it seems that restraint and reform in the consciousness and conscience of the Gen-G group are inevitable. Expressing the pain of having to work in a pendulum situation, expressing the expression that the country should not become Bangladesh anymore, the Prime Minister has expressed his heartfelt anguish and is working hard and patiently for a safe exit. In such a serious situation, to save the country from the crisis, the Gen-G in the thirtieth group, hundreds of parties and their factions, members who have joined the government but have different aspirations, civic leaders and the general public should support the government with their minds, words and deeds in the elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

For this, the Gen-G should abandon group interests, postpone intra-party disputes and enter the upcoming elections. The members in the government should support the Prime Minister in the main goal of the election in one rhythm. The members with their own aspirations should resign from the government and stay outside and help the Prime Minister in the election. Considering the short period remaining for the election, civic leaders and intellectual groups should take the initiative for a fair election at the scheduled time rather than practicing the tactics and synthesis of election alternatives. Citizen leaders and subject matter experts should immediately improve the essential structural weaknesses and point out the weaknesses of the security concept. In addition, professional and technical facilitation should be provided to correct the weaknesses, taking into account the sequential elections. The main way for the country to overcome the current crisis is for ordinary citizens to embrace the elections as a celebration.

Winning and losing in elections is natural. The main thing is to serve the people through fundamental democratic principles, respect for multi-party ideas, honest and ethical politicians, continuity of liberal ideas, and the identification of loyal companions.
