The human loss during the Gen-G movement is a historical tragedy for Nepali people. The list of the dead has been recorded in history as a reflection of the arrogance and cruelty of the then government.

The law of the country will not forgive the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar who devalued the voice of the youth who rose up against corruption, were negligent in security strategy and suddenly used excessive force to cause genocide.

The juggling act of Oli and the writer did not even initiate a meaningful dialogue with the new generation who raised their voice against the capricious rule of the major parties . He chose to communicate with them not by words, but by bullets and took away the lives of young people . But this sacrifice will not be lost in oblivion . Accountability will be established in the country on the day all the guilty are brought to justice through serious investigation and only that will ensure the journey of good governance and prosperity. 

18 people died in Kathmandu, 2 in Sunsari and 1 in Parsa among the participants in the movement that started on 23 August. Likewise, 52 people died during the demonstration on August 24. Among them, 10 people are from prisons and correctional facilities, while 15 people were found burnt in commercial and private houses.

Two policemen have died in Maharajgunj and one in Koteshwar in Kathmandu due to the police station being set on fire. As of Tuesday, the total number of deaths has reached 73. There are hundreds of injured whose treatment the government has taken over. 

The Oli government has fallen on the strength of the Gen-G movement and the government has been formed under the leadership of Sushila Karki. But the change of individuals is not the only goal of the movement. Rather, public office holders  It is the responsibility of the new government to investigate the property, investigate the suppression of the movement and bring the culprits to court, and investigate and punish the culprits of fire and robbery.

The election environment for the House of Representatives on February 21 will be created only by the execution of these responsibilities. Only peaceful elections will lead to smooth management of the transition period. 

The new government must ensure an environment where the main concerns of Gen-G are addressed. The message that can be given by making one's own behavior transparent and frugal is that the truth should be brought out by a fair and speedy investigation into the big corruptions that have happened before. Especially if those involved in big corruption scandals start to be prosecuted, it can give a positive message .

After 2046, the voice to disclose the property details of all those who reached high positions has become strong. There can be a lot of discussion about what time frame, by what method, what irregularities will be investigated and acted upon. But whatever is to be done, if it is done immediately, it will give hope to the society .

At this time, only old political parties are questioned, which is natural. But the staff is also suffering from corruption. The political leadership and employees should be covered equally in the asset investigation. Only this will build the Nepali ruling circle on the foundation of transparency.

The new Prime Minister Karki does not have a representative organization, believes the changer. To maintain that belief, he must develop a mechanism of lively dialogue with the new generation . Accountability and transparency should be prioritized. Everyone should understand that the dream of martyrs will get justice only with the success of the government.
