Pradeep Giri, full of effort of thought

What you should know

As American President Abraham Lincoln said, democracy is a system that absolutely tests the power of speech. On the other hand, criticism is practiced completely in a democracy. Pradeep Giri can be taken as a synonym and example of both these forms.

Giri was also an efficient exponent of democratic socialism introduced by BP Koirala in the context of Nepal. In various formal and informal forums, Giri used to say - 'I am a Marxist.' Despite becoming a supporter of the principles of the Nepali Congress and a skillful interpreter, it was difficult to move forward by embracing the principles of democratic socialism. However, Giri started churning socialist ideas by connecting Marxism with democracy. which has recently started to be accepted by Neo-Marxism.

Deepak Mallik, a close friend of Pradeep Giri who is also a professor at Vanaras Hindu University and the director of Gandhian Institute of Studies, says, "There is no other leader other than Giri in ideological terms in the democratic movement and transformation of Nepal. Sharp in analysis, no compromise in thinking. In terms of modernity, Giri seems to be a second generation leader, who had the ability not to complain even in the face of difficulties.'

while others decay, Pradeep Giri shines more . In fact, this is the latest gem of his executive idea. I still remember saying 'God saved me from difficulties' while losing the election from Siraha. His further explanation was, "When I won, I was uncomfortable that I had to become a minister. Minister was not my desire."

when he was in the hospital bed suffering from bladder cancer . 'Keto could not become a rebel' was his remark aimed at me. I thought, what kind of characters are enjoying rebellion more than physical pain! My heart said inside . Few people knew about the bladder cancer he had, which was later cured .

is also a feature that reflects his style of searching for a fruitful departure with unique writing. The example of sociability was felt more during his stay in Siraha Ashram. Even today, when visiting that ashram, one can see the glow of a kind of socialist soil. When you get there, you will almost know about sociality, the labor of the Nepalese peasantry as BP said and the role of the family, private property and the state as Lenin mentioned . Perhaps this can be called, the glimpse of socialism envisioned by BP and explained by Giri .

Giri's level of political consciousness was Nepali soil-based as BP said. It doesn't matter that his nature was democratic to not stop criticizing anyone even in disagreement. Many who heard him make critical comments about BP Koirala while addressing the students in a campus in Siraha during his student days must have immediately appreciated Giri's study and grasp of the subject. It was not a good idea to compete with the leader BP at that time. This characteristic of Giri who really did not follow any power was wonderful and loved by all. It is because of this awesomeness that anyone once hesitated to have a theoretical discussion and brainstorming ideas with him . Giri's thoughts are objective. It is the duty of not only the democratic power but also the communist power to bring Giri's thinking to a decision, which also trains the left wing of Nepal about Marxism .

Giri was close to Indian socialist thinkers Jayaprakash Narayan, Ram Manohar Lohia etc. But the influence was Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar etc. Not only that, he was equally influenced by Marx, Engels, Rosa Luxemburg, Max Bever etc. In addition to this, it is clear from his various ideas that he had a passion for politics, philosophy, economics, religion, art etc. His speech in the capital of Mongolia in 2005 at the Samajwadi Fair has been praised by many.

Giri, who likes to discuss intensively about the construction and development of a wider society, was greatly influenced by Hegel on the stages and chapters of social development. His discussions were aimed at reaching the state through individual-centered communities, villages, and societies. Magna Carta, France's Revolution, the impact of India's freedom struggle through the American freedom struggle on a country like Nepal and how a country like Nepal should 'cash' its far-reaching importance was difficult for anyone to grasp. Subtle analysis of

themes is one of the hallmarks of thinker Pradeep Giri. Refinement and relevance of conceptual angle were his abilities . There are few who do not appreciate his ability to easily explain thoughts or analysis in simple calculations. Politician Pradeep Giri had a kind of ability to be able to say deep and comprehensive things in a way that everyone could understand without having to list them.

Giri, who observed the awakening from the perspective of consciousness, was a skilled advocate of the globalization that developed in the 1990s. It was natural to happen. Because, the scope of his knowledge was extended from New Delhi, Banaras, India. Calling the recent development of globalization natural and spontaneous, Giri believed that its diaspora should become more extensive. Giri was more open among small school and university students. He used to say that, since the students are the jewels of the country, they should also be kept with love and harmony like jewels.

Giri's unique ability to consider the country's political development as the main criterion for the country's development has been readily accepted by many politicians. His history was not only limited to Nepal but also extended to India. For this reason, the current leaders and intellectuals of India have praised Pradeep Giri with his open voice.

It is everyone's desire to create a comfortable commentary of the future by staying in the present. Being able to discuss the unlimited dimensions of Gandhianism, being able to stick to the philosophy of Marxism and enjoying its vast uniqueness, being able to describe the Gita and Ramayana in detail, trying to embody the vision and reality of the limitless socialism of Jayaprakash Narayan and Lohia, being able to grasp Hegel's stages of social development from the angle of extremes and joining the dialogue despite differences in BP's own views is not only to embrace the greatness of Giri. And also to test the power of not doing. This also reflects the greatness of Giri . Due to characteristics such as not being able to stick to power and official responsibility, not paying much attention to the accumulation and use of power, sticking to ideological differences and understanding, deviations have not come and will not come to Giri's ideals.
