Due to the low presence of youth in politics, administration and policy making, their problems have also been overshadowed.

The image of a community contributing to nation building by being responsible with courage, courage, ability, patience, creativity and high self-confidence that can overcome challenges easily comes to mind as soon as youth is mentioned. A symbol of burning energy, solar and power, youth has the ability to transform society and nation. The government considers 16 to 40 years old and the United Nations 15 to 24 years old as youth. According to the latest census, the youth population is 42.56 percent.
The overall condition of the youth sector, which is the conductor of change and development, the cornerstone of progress and the main source and means of nation building, is not satisfactory. Although the state has entrusted the responsibility of economic prosperity and social transformation to the shoulders of the youth, it has not paid attention to their problems. Young people are caught in the maze of many problems .
Every year, five million young people are eligible to enter the labor market, but due to limited access to government services and lack of stability and salary guarantees in the private sector, not enough jobs have been created . After being unemployed, most of them choose to go abroad . Every day 2000 young people leave for foreign employment and some young people are migrating abroad for higher education. Due to the lack of youth-friendly investment and gender, regional, ethnic inequality, the youth have been forced to migrate . Even in foreign countries, they have not got opportunities according to their skills. Due to lack of skills and education, they have to do low-level jobs for very low wages.
Even the youths in the country have not found jobs due to the lack of quality, timely, employment-oriented education . According to the Nepal Labor Force Survey, the unemployment rate is 11.4 percent while 36.5 percent of the labor force is engaged in the formal sector. Youth at all levels and sectors do not have equal access to vocational skills and technology.
The policy made for the development of the youth is effectively implemented and the government does not pay attention to addressing the problems of the youth and improving the situation.
According to the census, 67 percent of the population in the age group of 15 to 59 years is contributing to state building by being involved in productive labor. Since prosperity comes only through labor, there should be proper mobilization of the youth who have the most ability and potential to work for the development of the country.
The National Youth Policy, 2072 envisages preparing enterprising, creative, scientific and positive thinking youth through youth empowerment while guaranteeing the basic rights of the youth. This policy has been implemented with the goal of enhancing the role of the youth and their inherent potential to build a prosperous, modern and just Nepal by integrating the youth into the mainstream of national development through meaningful participation, capacity and leadership development.
International Youth Day is celebrated every year on August 12 to keep alive the concerns of the youth who occupy 42 percent of the country's total population. This day is celebrated on the call of the United Nations since 1999 to establish a common vision for the empowerment of youth by debating the issue of youth worldwide. Even in Nepal, every year on this day, efforts are made to make the youth power to change and lead the country in a positive direction . But there doesn't seem to be a meaningful discussion about what the youth are in and what they want.
When the presence of youth in politics, administration and policy-making is less, their problems have also been overshadowed . Due to this, the leadership potential of the youth has not been exposed. The youth who are standing in the forefront of the movement with zeal, energy and ability for change are looking for strong support to stand as the pillars of the country . But the state has not been able to utilize their capabilities by giving them the right guidance, opportunity, trust and authority. Due to lack of effective implementation of programs such as Prime Minister's employment program, self-employment program, skill development training, investment in start-ups, training for rural youth, these problems are recurring.
Now the youth have started to look after every activity done by the government and how the laws, laws, policies and programs have been implemented. As the youth power is the foundation of the nation, only if this power is utilized in the right direction, the country can be led towards prosperity by stopping the migration of youth.
