The old leader of the Nepali Communist Movement, Vamdev Gautam, is finally going to unite in the Unified Socialist Party. On Friday, Gautam's 'NCP Ekta National Abhiyan' was agreed to unite with Madhav Kumar Nepal's Unified Socialists.

Gautam was also preparing to unite in the unified socialist party. In the discussion held until last January, the discussion from Gautam's ranking to the management of the position of the leader coming from his side had reached the final stage . But on January 4, Oli communicated with Gautam . From the positive discussion that took place there, Gautam became enthusiastic to unite in UML . He started saying that he will no longer be left-right, that he is sure to join UML and that he is going to work in UML until he dies. 

But after the UML secretariat meeting held on January 8 decided to only cooperate with the "NCP Ekta Rashtriya Abhiyan", there was a "break" in Gautam's "speed". And he understood that Oli's positive dialogue with him was only part of the strategy to prevent entry into the integrated socialist. After that he was again involved in the dialogue with the integrated socialists . It took shape on Friday.

It has been agreed between the two parties to announce unity by organizing a grand ceremony at the National Assembly House on July 2nd. He is also a member of the National Assembly and will now be known as the leader of the United Socialist Party. With unity, the party and Gautam himself will be able to get some significant benefits.

Benefits for integrated socialists

Gautam is an old left-wing leader . Jeevraj Ashrit, Madan Bhandari, Vamdev Gautam, Modnath Prasrit and others who were in the then Pushpalal group of the CPN united with the Coke developed from the Jhapali movement in August 2034 . This party was one of the main factions of the communist movement at that time. Thus, Gautham has worked with all the top leaders from Male-UML background. In 2054, UML split and led CPN Male. Even after returning to UML, he became the vice-president.

has become MP and Deputy Prime Minister many times. Becoming the prime minister has been his main goal for the past few years. In this way, with the entry of Gautam, the Unified Socialists will get an old and experienced leader .

There is no lack of old leaders in the integrated socialists, but Gautam's strong point is that he can work in party work. They can be devoted to the party work . From that, the organizational activities of the integrated socialists can be more active .

In 2078, UML was divided and formed a unified socialist. In the beginning, the leaders and workers who joined this party are gradually returning to the UML . Mukund Neupane, who was ranked third when the party was formed, has also returned to UML . However, leaders like Ghanshyam Bhusal entered the Integrated Socialists. Even though it made waves at that time, it could not be long-term.

At this time, the party is becoming relaxed due to many reasons . Now, the crisis has been added to the party itself after a corruption case has been registered against President Madhav Kumar Nepal. Therefore, the integrated socialist is looking for a positive wave again . At such a time, the arrival of Gautam will make the party talk again for some time . The party will benefit from being discussed through positive events. It will help other leaders to enter.

Gautam is also a member of the National Assembly. He was nominated as a member of the National Assembly by the President as per the recommendation of the Council of Ministers when he was the Vice President of the then CPN. His term is left until this February . In the remaining period of about seven and a half months, one seat of the United Socialist Party will increase. Now he has eight seats in the National Assembly, now it will be nine.

Gautam's arrival will also bring some benefits to the unified socialists in the elections. Gautam himself will be a strong candidate, he will also contribute to proportionality. The election of 2079 has confirmed that even a few thousand votes are important for the unified socialists. At that time, this party, which won 10 seats directly, could not cut the three percent 'threshold' on the proportional side . At that time, one crore five hundred sixty thousand eighty two votes were passed on the proportional side. This party could not become a national party because it could not get 3 percent i.e. 3 lakh 16 thousand 802 votes. He got only two lakh 98 thousand 391 votes . That is, 18 thousand 411 votes were insufficient to become a national party. To break the story, the ratio of the votes he got at that time and the votes he will get in the next election may not be the same . But it is clear that even a small vote is very important to him. Gautam's arrival can help for that .

Advantage for Gautam

UML and Maoist center united in 2075 to form CPN, he was a secretariat member and vice president in 2076, but after the party split, he also left UML . On August 18, 2078, he submitted his resignation and left the party accusing UML President KP Sharma Oli of various charges. After that, he started the 'NCP Ekta National Abhiyan' under his own leadership, but could not get much success. Not only the UML, the Maoist Center or the Unified Socialists, but also the leaders and workers known to be close to him in the past could not get support . Most of them sought security for their political life by joining the UML or the United Socialist Party. So his unity campaign was limited to a formality . It could not even take any initiative.

Gautam himself was politically confused, his political journey was also confusing. At some point, this situation must have been really painful for a famous leader, but many leaders who have failed to correctly project politics experience this.

Gautam was in a hurry to join some party since he felt that his campaign was going nowhere. Although he tried to join the UML in the beginning, after he ignored it, he prepared to join the CPN Unified Socialist Party. But later Oli was interested in dialogue and he was ready to join UML. After that process did not progress, he rejoined the Integrated Socialists .

After the tenure of the member of the National Assembly, there was confusion about the continuation of his political life . Now he'll have a sizeable party to work with. This will continue his political activism for some more time.

Integrated socialist leaders are not new to him. He has worked closely with them while in the UML. So it will be easy for him to work in this party. With this, his political daily life will end .

He will become the top level leader of the right-sized party with the entry of the Integrated Socialists . Now the expression he will give will get more discussion and he himself can become a leader who will be heard more . It will also 'recharge' himself.

But Gautam is also a volatile and ambitious leader . His ambition is difficult to manage . Madhav Kumar, who is now the president of United Samajwadi Party, was the general secretary of Nepal UML in 2054 when Gautam split UML and formed MLA. One of the many reasons for that is, when UML formed a minority government in 2051, after Chairman Manmohan Adhikari became Prime Minister and General Secretary Madhav Kumar became Minister of Nepal, Gautam was given the responsibility of creating a post of Deputy Secretary General, which was not in the constitution, to look after the work of the party, and later on, this post was canceled as it hindered his ambition.

Even in the then CPN, they had to create a vice-president position that was not in the constitution and give them responsibility. He was made a member of the National Assembly after not being able to stand up to his MP. It is hard to believe that even after uniting in the United Socialist Party, he would calm down his ambitions and only serve the ambitions of the party.
