The US and other western countries have been using the term 'surplus production capacity' with the intention of suppressing the development of science and technology and the growth of production capacity in China. They say that China's electric vehicle production capacity has become more than needed due to government subsidies in the new energy sector.

To utilize that excess production capacity, China is selling its products at lower prices in foreign markets. This kind of statement does not correspond to reality. Sustainable development is a common goal of the whole world. Renewable energy has become a key term in global discourse. All leaders, including Western countries, have been calling for the transition to a green economy, gradually displacing fossil biological energy.

America and other Western countries have again adopted a 'double standard' in this matter, which proves that their minds are too small and the steps they take in this area are too slow. However, China has firmly adhered to its promises regarding climate change in international meetings and has presented the image of a responsible giant country and the defender of the common interests of developing countries by speeding up its production capacity and energy transformation.

(1) The need for green energy is huge. Low carbon green energy conversion is imperative to mitigate climate change. As long as the potential for carbon reduction remains, the world's green manufacturing capacity must be considered insufficient.

is not more than needed. Politicians in the US and other Western countries have used China's increased renewable energy production capacity as an excuse to start a 'tariff war'. In fact, when their country's economic imbalance and competitive power in the international market is disappearing, they have tried to make it a 'scapegoat'.

The International Energy Agency estimates based on the world's division of labor and international markets. By 2030, the need for new energy motor vehicles worldwide will reach 45 million. Which will be 4.5 times that of 2022, the need for photovoltaic devices will reach 820 gigawatts.

which will be 4 times the year 2022. The current international production capacity has not been able to meet the needs of the market at all. Considering that the demand is still very high, it will take a long time to reach the point where the production capacity of China's new energy sector exceeds the demand.

(2) China's science and technology will bring prosperity to the world. Solheim, the former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, said that China's affordable solar panels are a green way for developing countries to move towards prosperity.

Earlier in world history, every country developed its economy by relying on fossil fuels. But now, due to the efforts of solar energy companies like Thungwei and Longchi in China, the cost of solar energy has been reduced by 90 percent compared to ten years ago. This is a golden opportunity for global climate action and sustainable economic development of developing countries. The US and other Western countries should see China's leadership in green industry not as their own risk, but as a powerful engine of global energy transformation.

(3) The need for international cooperation is urgent. Nepal has become one of the fastest growing markets for electric vehicles. By using green energy vehicles instead of petrol and diesel powered motor vehicles, Nepal will have three types of benefits - air pollution will decrease, capital outflow will decrease, energy efficiency will increase.

Currently, Chinese electric vehicle factories in Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey, etc. are supporting the upgrading of local production and energy conversion. According to United Nations data, investments in the renewable energy sector in developing countries will require about 17 trillion US dollars per year. But in 2022, only 5 trillion US dollars were invested worldwide. We need to find creative ways to make up for this lack of investment, not self-protectionism and trade barriers.

China is always ready to follow the path of low-carbon development and green cooperation. By 2024, 40 percent of China's electricity would be generated from new clean energy sources. As the world's largest exporter of clean technology, China has created 46 percent of the world's renewable energy sector jobs.

According to a report by the International Renewable Energy Agency, the cost per unit of electricity generation of wind power projects around the world has decreased by 60 percent in the last 10 years. Production costs of photovoltaic projects have been reduced by 80 percent. The main credit goes to China.

In May this year, Nepal successfully organized the Everest Dialogue. Leaders of various countries and scholars of think tanks gathered at the foothills of the Himalayas and discussed how developing countries including Nepal should address climate change and how to achieve the goal of carbon reduction and build a sustainable and bright future for mankind.

China is a long-term partner and neighbor of Nepal's development. We want to provide Nepal with useful experience and advanced science and technology related to sustainable development and together with the Nepalese side, we want to advance green development and energy transformation.

There is no reason why the US and other Western countries are trying to suppress the development of green industries in developing countries, including China. Therefore, not only erecting a high wall, but the international community, especially developing countries, will increase the cost of renewable energy technology, creating an obstacle to global green low carbon development.

China wants to realize the global climate goal by facing the common challenges of mankind by cooperating with all countries that want to develop clean energy, including Nepal, in green science technology. China's renewable energy demand has never been greater. That is a good message for the world.
